Sad loss

We suffered the loss of a family friend over last weekend and although we did not her well it had hit us both hard.

We feel for her or whatever she went through, for her parents who are also our friends and also for us as it has opened our eyes for unresolved grief I think.

Ever since we have both been very reflective and sad.

What we do know is she is with the Lord and that truly does help our grieving hearts.

A small gift

Isn’t it funny how something small can mean so much?

Last week my assistant team manager went to the shops then came back saying she had a surprise for me. She went all out, making me close my eyes and everything.

What was it?

.

.'

It was a baby shark balloon.

Apparently brought because she thought I needed cheering up.

This meant the world to me and remains in my basket where I sit everyday so I can see it

New planner

I love getting a new planner although a bit like this blog I always start with great intentions and then run out of steam and don’t use it as I should.

After taking the plunge halfway through the year and trying a planner from Christianplanner.com I had to then preorder one for 2023.

The order was sent on the 9th from America and arrived on the 14th I struggle to get service like that from the Uk.

The quality and service from this company has been amazing and I have  already started to prepare it for use by adding month tabs and my name to the front.

When do you start thinking about next year ?

Are you a planner or do you do it as it comes?

Funeral of Queen

Today is the funeral and I find myself feeling very reflective this morning. I suppose funerals do that even if it is someone we have never met.

The Queen has been formidable in her role she and I have so far seen signs that it may continue I think there has been some leaning into God and that they are using there faith as support.

Now to see if others can follow in their footsteps.

Word of the year 2025

Like a lot of others I choose a word each year. For 2025 my word is;  Also I have chosen a bible verse which is: Do you choose a word?
