It’s cold today
Saturday, 10 December 2022
Even colder overnight
Very white out there this morning. Even colder. However we seem to have a very strange dog who loves it and is spending more time in the garden than ever.

Advent
I think that this is probably my favourite season of all it is the lead up to Christmas I love rather than Christmas itself.
However I am running behind this yer and have yet to make my advent wreath.
Here is a picture of last years to be going on with.
Here is a description of why the 5 candles
Depending on which country you live in or the denomination you belong to, you may see several different versions of the advent wreath. The simplest and most common advent wreath contains five candles, each with a special meaning:
Candle 1 (“The Prophet’s Candle”) is purple, lit during the first week of Advent, and symbolizes hope.
Candle 2 (“The Bethlehem Candle”) is purple, lit during the second week of Advent, and symbolizes peace.
Candle 3 (“The Shepherd’s Candle”) is pink or rose-colored, lit during the third week of Advent, and represents joy.
Candle 4 (“the Angle’s Candle”) is purple, lit during the fourth week of Advent, and represents love.
Candle 5 (“Christ’s candle”) is white, lit on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and represents the advent child, Jesus.

Thank you Lenor for the great parcel that arrived today.
First load of washing already in and waiting for it to finish so we can see if it lives up to the name, especially as it is raining and we will need to dry indoors.

Look what arrived
I come home feeling sorry for myself. Stressful week, feeling rundown and overwhelmed and battling a stinking cold and cough and a parcel had arrived for me.
Thank you @thebusinessboxuk https://thebusinessbox.co.uk/ the box was amazing. The warmer even helped with my cough. #myfavouritebusinessexpense

First day of October
So as we reach the first day of October, I am again trying to rein in finances and see if I can find a workable budget. This happens so often but never sticks.
What am I doing to make it happen.
Using a budget tracker which I am filling in
Tracking my spending daily
I am using a automatic saving account which I am then going to use to try to invest some money. I am using Plum and if anyone wants to try it here is a link.
